Panty – Panty and Stocking with Gaterbelt
I joked that I could do this in a day. A few episodes of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, I was able to get the base of the dress done. The pattern I used was Vogue 2931. I had it in my collection for a while. I thought Panty’s vague cocktail dress design would work with this pattern. I have a very curvy body, so this pattern compromised design and figure flattery.
I picked this fabric from JoAnn’s. They had a nice burgundy fabric that was glittery. I just wanted my Panty to stand out a little bit from the rest. I like the glitter. It seems very Panty-like. I already have the jewelry, but I may check out H&M to see if I can get “louder” jewelry. It’s easy to put on a red dress and a blonde wig and call yourself Panty, but even simplicity has it’s need to be super accurate to pull it off.
I also have OPI’s You Only Live Twice nail lacquer to go with the outfit. Lush has a lip liner called Ambition that will also work with Panty’s features.
This is due for Anime Boston. Li Mei is gonna be my Stocking. I’m not sure if I want to make the gun after the incident and there’s no way the gun can have an orange tip without it being distracting. Yet, I’m sure I’ll still have as much as fun.
