Geek Girl Con 2025 took place at the Washington Convention Center on November 8-9, 2025 in downtown Seattle, WA. This is my third convention in 2025 that I have attended in downtown Seattle. And this is my first Geek Girl Con! Attendees and staff were surprised to hear that I was visiting from California. I haven’t been to a convention that celebrated femmes from all walks of life. I have been to queer themed events, but out of all the conventions that I have attended in my 20 years, Geek Girl Con is the most inclusive and celebrates excellence among marginalized communities.
I was a contributor – panelist and meet up moderator for Geek Girl Con. I am more than happy to be a part of this community. While I could have stayed in Southern California for either Anime Pasadena or Anime Expo Chibi, I abandoned routine to go for something different. I chose to go where I am celebrated and not tolerated.
