Kumori Con 2025 took place on October 31 to November 2 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, OR. This is my first time attending “Kumo Con,” as it is known by my convention peers. I have had friends from California travel to the autumn Pacific Northwest Convention for the past several years and have always had good things to say about it. I decided to make 2025 the year I finally attend. Kumo Con offered me three panels and a comedy show with Cosplay Wrestling Federation. Honored to contribute to this PNW convention, I couldn’t say “no” and I was on my way from Orange County to Portland on Halloween weekend.
Kumori Con mostly had a voice actor and cosplayer guest of honor, but one such guest spoke to my millennial otaku heart, Kikuko Inuoe. Her voice acting repertoire speaks volumes and generations of anime fandom – from Belldandy from Ah! My Goddess, Kasumi from Ranma ½, Lobelia in Sakura Taisen 3, and so many others.
