AniMagic, the Autumn Dream (tm) took place in Lancaster, California on September 30 to October 2, 2005. Lancaster? Where the heck is that? Oh, it's about an hour east of Magic Mountain smack dab in the middle of the desert. AniMagic returned to the Antelope Valley Inn in 2005. The convention was back to the poolside, the window decoration contests, and the Japanese garden. Granted, AniMagic 2005 felt like a smaller AniMagic compared to previous AniMagic, but magic was definately in the air. My partner, Tom, and myself also used AniMagic as an oppurtunity to collect interviews for our senior project / thesis - Infatuation and Infusion: Asian Popular Culture in American Mainstream.
