Editor’s Notes: New York Comic Con round 2 for Scarlet! I had a really hard time picking out a song for this event. It was really tough. I wanted a song that was nostalgic to me and I wanted something that really fit how I felt about the con. It came down to “Flashdance, What a Feeling,” “Big City Nights,” “Holding Out for a Hero,” and then I was suddenly reminded of this song from staying up late at night and dozing off to VH1 music movie classics. “The Sound of the City” is from You Can’t Stop the Music – a movie about the Village People. The opening scene has Steve Gutenberg rollerskating through midtown. When I revisited the song, I knew instantly that I wanted to use this song. Like my other videos, I wanted to highlight the cosplayers, the crowd, the artists, and most of all, John Barrowman. Edited with Camtasia Studio and shot on a FlipCam HD.
