San Diego Anime Con took place at the Handerly Hotel on November 21-23, 2025 in the Mission Valley resort district of San Diego, CA. This convention brought in voice actor guests such as Risa Mei, Alan Z, Carrie Savage, Mexican voice actor for Spanish language dubs, Genaro Vasquez, among others. This is SDAC’s third annual outing as one of three main SoCal anime conventions (and our favorite!). The small con is growing at a rapid rate! However, it does have the nostalgic vibes of hotel cons that reigned in the 2000s in California before anime grew up and moved to the big con centers. The poolside and gazebo garden were nice spots for meetups and cosplay photos. The dealers room and artists were scattered through the first floor. Hotel ballrooms and meeting rooms were filled with otaku during this weekend anime event.
