Weeb Fest took place on June 29, 2024 at the Westminster Mall in Westminster, CA. This event puts on free anime themed events that consist of artists, vendors, voice actor meet and greet, and local idol performances. The Westminster Mall is due for demolition in 2025. I have memories with this mall playing piano when it had life in the mid-90’s. It was surreal to see the empty stores and rows of anime artists and vendors lining up half of the mall. Weeb Fest invited veteran voice actor talent such as Bridget Hoffman, Dorothy Fahn, Tom Fahn, Lia Sargent, Erik Kimrer, and Sean Chiplock. The free event drew in Orange County cosplayers, anime enthusiasts, and curious families passing through.
