Wonder Con took place on March 24 to March 26, 2023 in the Anaheim Convention Center (Anaheim, CA). The sibling convention to San Diego Comic Con is still recovering from a hiatus. Wonder Con celebrates all aspects of pop culture. This event draws in those who love Marvel and DC comics. You’ll see plenty of spandex clad cosplayers and panels analyzing aspects of hero themed stories. However, Wonder Con isn’t limited to comics! Anime, video games, and even Oscar winning movies like Everything Everywhere All At Once were very much represented.
Wonder Con is also an industry event where fans meet industry. This is evident in their massive artist alley and creatives regularly attending the con. If you’re into networking, this place is it! Wonder Con also celebrated the upcoming release of the Knights of the Zodiac movie in their cross promotion with convention bags and the logo smacked right in front of the main convention center. As a Anime Expo attendee who recalls the Anaheim days, seeing an anime property dominate the ACC building at a comic con gave me some sentimental feelings.
