There’s no denying that there will always be Sailor Moon cosplays at any fandom event you set foot in. Cosplay is a huge part of fans showing love for the popular shoujo series. Anime Expo, Anime Los Angeles, and other Southern California conventions have Sailor Moon cosplayer meet ups.
Our annual picnic will have a low key cosplay contest for you to show off your costume. The format of this is more like a “cosplay runaway” than a masquerade competition. We welcome cosplays from and inspired by Sailor Moon in all incarnations.
Rules and Guidelines for Cosplay Contest
- Costumes must be hand made or “closeted” (ie: thrift shop, closet cosplay, etc) for entry
- Costumes must be from the Sailor Moon franchise (animated series, video games, musicals, manga, etc)
- Yes, we do welcome costumes “inspired by” Sailor Moon. This includes artistic interpretations (ie: punk, pinup, etc) and original designs.
- Sign ups will be available at the picnic. Just look for the “cosplay contest” table.
