Curtain up! Light the lights! Nothing to hit, but the heights! Of all the years I lived in Southern California, I never heard of the cherry blossom season until last year. Every March, in Anthony C. Beilenson Park (Van Nuys, CA), the cherry blossom trees blossom. While there is no formal celebration or designated event associated with the cherry blossoms, it does attract local cosplayers and cosplay photographers for photo opportunities. Jason Nishi (i360) spearheaded these multiple box socials. A few valley area cosplayers kept close watch on the estimated time when the cherry blossoms would bloom. For three Saturdays, in late winter, cosplayers gathered at Lake Balboa. So let us entertain you and we'll have a real good time. Mr. Conductor, if you please!
