Anime Vegas took place on September 5-7, 2009 at the Cashman Center in Las Vegas, NV. Minutes from downtown, Anime Vegas is best known for their hordes of English language voice actors as their guests of honor. 2009 included Steve Blum (Spike in Cowboy Bebop), Brad Swaile (Light in Death Note), Jerry Jewell (Kyo in Fruits Basket), Colleen Clinkenbeard (Yuuko in xxxHolic), Yuri Lowenthal (Sasuke in Naruto) and others. Queen of Akihabara, Momoi, flew directly from Japan for the event. There were mixed feelings about 2009's Anime Vegas. The event went from Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel (2008) to the smaller Cashman Center with half its original team jumping ship. Could Anime Vegas 2009 survive its sixth year?
This is my first Anime Vegas and Jared's fifth. It was rather interesting seeing an Anime Vegas veteran's point of view. Whatever happens at Anime Vegas, stays on this report - Scarlet Rhapsody and the Holy Grail. And by Holy Grail, we mean the meaning of life and some guy named Brian. And now for something completely different.
