Victoria
started making
anime music videos since March 2003. The first anime music video was made
in a six hour sitting. It was a tribute to X's Karen Kasumi to the 1989
Madonna hit single, "Like a Prayer." These
AMVs are made with Windows Movie Maker. Files are zipped in .wmv format.
If
You Let Me Play
Princess Nine ~ Forrest Gump Suite
Fall 2003. This was for a women's studies class. The quote that appears in
this amv is from a Nike commercial. After watching Princess Nine, I wanted
to create a montage with something reminiscent of A League of their Own.
Popteen
Various Anime - "Popteen" by Domino
Fall 2003. A project for a women's studies class back in my Sonoma State
days. This video is a montage of anime chicks who kick ass! Made in one
sitting because I was bored off my mind. I did use footage from fansubs
and other existing amvs. This wasn't originally going to be placed on
the web, but for the sake of archive purposes, it's here.
Lucky
Perfect Blue - Perfectly Unlucky
Summer 2003. Contrary to popular belief, yes this does fit in with the
popular anime film, Perfect Blue. This idea was brought to me when
describing Perfect Blue to a friend. Think pop idol being stalked by creepy
fanboy. I admit, I am not a huge fan of Britney Spears, I even auditioned
for a Sailor Senshi vs. Britney Spears radio play. Yet, my good friend
Stephy says the song fits perfect well with the anime. I'll let you guys
be the judge of that. ^^
Everything
is Gonna Be All Right
Summer 2003. Evangelion - Everything is Gonna Die All Right
This was the first anime music video I ever wanted to make. When I first
heard the Sweetbox song, I instantly thought of Asuka's grand scene from
the movie. The song samples Canon in D, and so does the movie's song.
This is also my interpretation of Evangelion's ending.
Anak
X - Tribute to a young Kamui Shirou
Spring 2003. Once upon a time, I was sick of living in a county lacking
any culture that I felt like downloading Filipino folk classics. I felt
this song fits in well with a very young Kamui. Yes, there are subtitles.
Like
a Prayer
X - Tribute to Karen Kasumi
Spring 2003. First anime music video I made - in a six hour sitting you
can believe it or not. Has subtitles.
