Believe me, I had my doubts going back to Wonder Con, but when Tom informed me that the convention would take place during his birthday weekend, it was an offer I could not refuse. We decided we would only be there for Saturday. Prior to the convention, our friends Michael, Dominic, and Patrick asked us if we could join their James Bond group. We agreed.

I flew into San Jose Airport the day before (with an army of UCLA Bruins). After a day in San Jose, Tom and I departed for San Francisco on Saturday morning. We checked into our hotel in Daly City, but one problem. The management was out for ten minutes - ten minutes Filipino time. We waited half an hour to check into the El Camino Inn. It wasn't so bad since the Moscone Center was 15 minutes away.

We arrived at Wonder Con at around 2PM. It was a short wait to get our $15 one day admission. Tom and I wandered around the Dealer's Room. It was very crowded!

We eventually ran into our friends dressed up as classic James Bond characters. Dominic as Odd Job (Goldfinger), Michael as Felix Leiter (Dr. No), and Patrick as Auric Goldfinger (Goldfinger). Eurobeat King and Bart Boy took several photos of our group. Thank you, guys!

We also ran into our friend, Claudine. She had her MiniMe (MSD Sakura) in tow. I had a few belated Christmas presents for her, including underwear for her doll. Tom and I also talked to the eccentric Mr. Lobo of Cinema Insomnia. For the most part, we explored the vast Dealer's Room. Tom found a childhood favorite, a Megatron gun Transformer. He also found a Soletta Orihime figurine, but it was out of our price range. However, one booth was selling manga: 5 for $20! I decided to stock up on my CLAMP fix - RG Veda and X/1999 (with Battle Royale on the side).

We also ran into Pikmin Link , Grant, Ebi, Old Man Mike, and the Consplayers family. Tom and I decided to have an early dinner at Mel's at 4:45PM before masquerade time.
