Finally, Traveling Valentine can finally say they had the pleasure of enjoying a San Francisco Wonder Con. Though we only went for Saturday, it was an experience. While we're used to the anime convention scene, it was a breath of fresh air seeing different fandoms come together, as well as finding things in the Dealer's Room that we couldn't find anywhere else. While Tom did not find his "Sledge Hammer" comics, he found a Megatron toy reminiscant from his childhood days: A robot that transformed into a .44 Magnum. He didn't buy it, but it was there.

I was happy to see our Bay Area friends. I flew from Los Angeles for this weekend. While my first priority was seeing Tom for his birthday, it was well worth it to see our Bay Area friends. Being that Tales of Anime is up in the air and I'm not doing Cherry Blossom, it was great seeing friends, even though it was for a little bit. I was dissapointed that I didn't see Hitori or Ramen and Rice though. I missed you guys!

Tons of thanks to Bart Boy, Eurobeat King, Old Man Mike, and Consplayers for taking photos of us and letting us use them. Many thanks to Wonder Con for giving us press passes so we can do the best coverage of masquerade that we can give.

Overall, I was very happy with how Wonder Con went down. If this is how Comic Con is, then Tom and I are looking forward to it.

Many thanks to Patrick, Michael, and Dominic for the James Bond group. We want to do this again at Comic Con. Bart Boy and Robert Jr. already expressed interest in joining. Anyone else up for a 007 gathering?

Of course, a big happy birthday to Tom! Thanks for the motel, getting us around, staying at your house, the food, the cat, the shopping, spending quality time with Cosette, etc. I love you very much, and I want to continue these crazy conventures with you! Happy Birthday.
