Shoes. Let's get some cosplayer's shoes. We hung out with Diana prior to masquerade. Most of the time, it was fandoming over JoJo's Bizzare Adventures. There was much last minute spazzing out before the show.

Tom and I went to dinner at the hotel. I settled for a simple clam chowder. We were dressed up as Karen Kasumi and Aoki Seichirou from X/1999. We sat close by the Tales od Anime guest of honor. We also stopped by Stella's table. She had issues of Cosmode 15. Several of our friends are in the at issue. It was also the same issue that I'm trying to track down.

I arrived in San Mateo in the late afternoon on Thursday. Masquerade started at around 8PM right after the Anime Music Video screening. Two of the Guests of Honor filled in as judges for the show. Mr. Wendell gave his opening act by ringing in a Happy Easter with candy thrown at the audience.

Overall, it was a fine night of delictable entertainment. There were 21 entries total. Here are photos of all of the contestants.

After the masqueade, they informed everyone that the winners would be annouced at Closing Ceremonies. Tom and I met up with Diana and company for some Francesca Dani impersonation fun. It seemed like our group was the only life that was left at the convention. We ran into Mike and Patrick in the lobby. For the most part, we talked about the con itself. We were in the lobby area. While Bart Boy was doing photoshoots with Diana and company, Tom and I were waltzing and tangoing to the hotel lobby music. How's that for an imrpomptu ballroom dance? Mr. Wendell stopped by, albeit partially sober. If it's one highlight I can remember from our conversation, it's that Tom, Wendell, and I spotted this one chick with really large, pointy breasts en route to the bathroom.

We finally went to Heidi's Pies at 12:45AM. While it was a nice guesture of Bart Boy, I don't think will do any more midnight runs. Patrick, Mike, Chris, and Tom can attest to my 1AM backyard ranting and rambling. And Tom takes even less crap after midnight. That was one way to hammer down the evening!
