What else was there to do for the rest of Saturday? Tom and I are used to Masquerades on the night before the final day. The only things that were scheduled on Saturday night were Hot Yaoi Nights and the rave. Not our scene. Sac Anime could have made more programming available, or at least schedule the masquerade on Saturday evening. In all honestly, there was not much to do for us con veterans. So, we made the most of our time there. Tom and I had custom badges made by Katie Bair. We judged masquerade alongside Katie Bair last year. I got an "ABJD Lovers International" badge, while Tom got an "I Heart Zombies" badge. We also scoured the Dealers Room. Tom, Claudine, and I killed some time by jumping in the pool. Trust me, after cosplaying in 98 degree weather, you'd want to as well. There was a concert happening close by. Claudine attempted to dance in the pool. We also ran into our other friend, Tony. Once we got out of the pool, it was getting dark. Tom and I changed into our Phantom Quest Corp costumes. Sac Anime was practically empty. Jorge A. Rivera, Tom, and I explored the hotel grounds at night. We were told by this one hotel bar that we weren't welcomed in their area. Great. Finally, we simply chilled in the lobby. A few people that were at a seminar asked us what is our purpose in life. It was quite strange to be asked by mundane people deep, insightful questions. Not to mention, they didn't call us "freaks" or anything negative. They were simply curious about our hobby. Also from the same seminar, there was a couple that wanted to show off their combat and juggling skills. Then there was an ice cream party at Bart Boy's hotel room. Diana and company bought some yummy ice cream to cool down the hot summer night. After discussing much old school anime (Nadia, Gunbuster, etc), Astro popped in clips from Hot Shots. We LOL-ed. Then, Mike, Patrick, and Dom showed us "Read a Book." Anything to amuse us! Finally, Tom and I were getting hungry. We did a midnight run to Denny's. I was so out of it that I nearly fell asleep at the restaurant! And Tom noticed that our server must have fallen asleep also, but his two cents would wake her up once we left.
