So, choose Recca. Make it big. Make what big? Why are there two guys cuddling next to each other under the title, "Wham! Make it Big?" The road to Recca Con was an interesting one. Victoria was a drifter at the time. Long story, but for the full details, just ask her. Since drifters need a break from from drifting, Recca Con would be the nice getaway from life's drama. Normally, Victoria would have taken the Muni to get to Bart to get to Tom. Eh, this time, her aunt had to drive her to the Daly City Bart. Victoria almost did not have that option, and therefore missing out on the Recca Kick Off Event. Anyways, here's a few pictures of the night before Recca because I know some of you are cat fanatics. Not to worry! I did make it! (And V shall stop talking in third person!) I arrived in Freemont to meet up with Tom. From there we picked up Hitori, his second wife. Then we all had a nice 'n wonderful road trip up to Pittsburgh, CA. The site was under some construction. Luckily, we ran into Jason and Diana to help us find a way into the convention area. The setup was pretty interesting. There was a mass of televisions in where the dealer's room used to be. Now that place is like a mega game room. Tom and I tried our hand at Para Para Paradise. Tom and I also participated in the art contest. It was done Win, Loose, or Draw style. We had to draw a cosplayer on stage. In all honesty, we don't have any drawing skills. If you won, you got a Saw t shirt! However, it was all for a good time. We also checked out the dealer's room. Our friends were selling stuffs. I got a few Sakura Taisen plushies from Nando. Yay! My very own Erica Fontaine plush. (Now all I need is an Orihime, and we're in business!) For the record, Tom did not pick up a few things. Al took our picture and handed us prints. And of course, our friends at Consplayers had a private photoshoot set up for us. Click here to check out the pictures. ^_^ It was getting close to lunch. As usual, I was the hungry one. ^_^; So, we picked up a few things for ourselves including requests from Al and Masako. We went back to the con area. Trust me, it was a maze to find our way back in. We ran into the likes or Rico. He had a few early Christmas presents to give away. Thanks for the Dejiko pin. We mainly mingled around with Chris, Hitori, Pikmin, Robert, Diana, and company. People like Diana make me want to see more FMA! Then there was a cosplay fashion show. Tom and I strutted in our Fujiko and Lupin II styles. About an hour afterwards, we were pretty much done. We chit chatted around and about. We even gave Chris a ride back to Milpitas. On the way back, Chris and Tom compared phones. Hitori and I just nodded and smiled. We dropped Chris and Hitori off at their respective points. Tom's family took us out to dinner at a very nice Italian place in Milpitas. My my...that was a windy night. Thanks! ^_^ Thenafter, I took the Bart back to Daly City. It truly was a day well spent. Looking forward to the main event, Jason. And for some bonus pictures, here are pics from the LOL Rex Navarrete comedy show as hosted by SAVE. (Well, it followed shortly after Recca. ^^;) Pictures are copyright by Victoria Erica. If I took your picture, feel free to use it on your site or cosplay gallery. If you want me to remove something, kindly email me. While you're here, do sign the guestbook.
