Saturday started out with our costumes from Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water. Tom dressed up as Samson. I dressed up as Grandis. Let's see how many people recognize us. Of course, not many considering that most of anime fandom is saturated with the Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece fans.

We arrived at the LAX Hilton in the late morning. Before picking up our press badges, we ran into several of our friends - Deb (Sasuke), Julia (Ariel), Caitlin (April May), and Stan (Grimmjaw). There was an Asian Ball Joint Doll gathering in the lobby. While crossing over, we were Rickrolled by several convention attendees who brought their speakers as they were groovin' to Rick Astly's 1987 hit, "Never Gonna Give You Up."

It was a small doll gathering, yet Ms. Cholong from Elf Doll made an appearance. She made a positive compliment about my Custom House Choa (sometimes known as Sherry). Ms. Cholong also invited me and Tom to visit the Elf Doll showroom in Pasadena.

We visisted the Anime Los Angeles con suite. There's always time for a snack! We saw some previews of what's in store for Anime Los Angeles in 2008 like the custom benches.

Tom and I went to the Collin Chou panel. Collin Chou played Seraph in the Matrix movies. When he was asked to perform a martial arts demonstration, he couldn't because of back problems. An autograph session followed afterwards. We had our press badges signed.

Afterwards, we decided to go to lunch at Denny's. There's not that much to choose from as far as food goes in the area. There was a Denny's and a Carl's Jr. Unfortunately, the service at Denny's wasn't as pleasant. It took 20 minutes to get our check.
