The convention did not start until around 4pm (Technically 6pm, since that’s when the opening ceremony began), but the cosplayers and fans alike gathered as early as noon. When I got there, the area was already packed with people. The level of crowd in the area was so immense that it was almost reminiscent of San Diego Comic Con. And this was just Friday. Dealers room was decent. The layout was small and there weren’t much merchandise of interest for me (then again, I was on tight budget). NDK also had an artist alley, located right across the hotel bar. So if you feel like getting a drink after buying Bleach fanart, that was the place to be. Overall, Denver Marriott was a nice area for what it was worth. The indoor setting was cozy and comforting, which turned out to be a huge advantage on Saturday (more on that later) Pictures are copyright by Scarlet Rhapsody.
