Sunday was a much lighter day compared to Saturday. While Sunday had a handful of interesting Star Wars and NASA panels going on, the biggest star showed up. John Barrowman entered the dealers hall and started playing with someone's service dog (with permission, of course). In honor of John Barrowman, Jared dressed up as Captain Jack Harkness and Eri Kagami went in Broadwaybound Jersey Boys. It's kinda like Disneybound wherein you create an outfit based on something Disney, but Eri had her Broadway twist on it.

John Barrowman Q&A by Eri Kagami
One of the biggest guests at Long Beach Comic Con was the delightful John Barrowman. Known for his work in Doctor Who and Arrow, John Barrowman only appeared on Sunday. This was a rare treat for west coast Whovians. Because LBCC is not as congested as New York Comic Con or Comic Con International, it was easy to snag a last minute photo op with John Barrowman. They were even selling photo ops on site and adding an extra hour to fill demand. The line for photo ops started in the morning. After strolling through the dealers hall, we stood in line for a good hour chatting with fans of Doctor Who. The nice thing about John Barrowman is he was willing to do silly poses with you on camera.

The panel started within the next hour. There was already a line out the door from the main events room. The room was filled to capacity. John Barrowman shared stories from behind the scenes on Arrow and Torchwood. The Q&A was very much driven by fan questions. Barrowman cheerfully answered questions about working with his co-stars. He talked about playing jokes. He also talked about gender equality as well. He even took a phone call from his husband while running the panel. It's my second time seeing John Barrowman in person; though the format is always the same, he always has something to share.

Carsplay by Eri Kagami
One of the unique things about Long Beach Comic Con is the car show. Car modifiers bring their best on display. The car show is outside the convention center. Curious passerbys can see the displays. You can also take photos with the vehicles for free. Replicas included the Delorean from Back to the Future, Sally from Cars, Kit from Knight Rider, Ecto-One, Matlock, Herbie the Love Bug, a few cars from the Jurassic Park series, etc. It was really nice because some of the cars had detailing in the interiors.

WGA Writers by Jared
This panel featured writers for various TV series including Ben 10 and Sleepy Hollow. Discussion was focused on the process of working on a script with and without a team. A few fun writer room stories were told and they also discussed the stress of having instant response from fans and haters on the internet. This panel gave some insight into what it is to be a TV writer and everyone was friendly and willing to answer questions even after the end of the panel.

Dealer Hall by Eri Kagami
The dealers hall at Long Beach Comic Con is larger than ever! The dealers hall was a mix of silver age comic dealers, single issue dealers, Funko figurines, geek crafts, comic book artists, cosplayers, voice actors, and a space exploration display. A few unique features included some booths giving away chips and one showing off samples of a variety of beef jerky. If you were into collecting Funko figures, Long Beach Comic Con had plenty of dealers that were clearing up their stock. I ended up taking home an Agent Carter and a Disgust. Fans also sold artistic interpretations of their favorite fandoms. There were also indie filmmakers selling their movies. There were a handful of e-famous cosplayers signing prints in the cosplay section; it got congested at times and could use a larger aisleway. I was also able to talk to Samantha Newark, the voice of Jem, about Sailor Moon and the upcoming Jem movie. She says it's a must see for fans and also mentioned that the Jem annual will be relased later this year. However, there weren't a lot of dealers this year that sold trades. In Long Beach Comic Con's beginning, I was able to take home my first set of trades (Morning Glories, Fables, etc). Otherwise, a nice variety of things in the dealers hall; it would take almost a whole day to go through what's inside. Bring plenty of cash money!

Long Beach Comic Con was coming to an end. At about 4PM, we walked towards Rock Bottom Brewery for an early dinner reflecting on the past two days and how much Long Beach Comic Con has grown up.
