Japan Town Anime Faire 4 marked its return to the September weekend. I'm glad to say that it's back in September as it should be. Although JTAF 4 had its problems in the beginning stages, even going far as to ask for donations a week before the convention, JTAF 4 still managed to hold the event in Japan Town.

I often heard the question, "Will there be a JTAF 5?" To them I say, "I don't know. Not my department." However, as far as Project 760 events go, they still have the Nissei Anime Festival (Little Tokyo in Los Angeles) and the Otaku Bowl series. Suffice to say, this is Traveling Valentine's last Project 760 event for the year. We have a wedding to attend during the December Otaku Bowl.

We can certainly say that JTAF is our last convention of 2006. We do have other events like SiliCon, Halloween Mystery Meet, and possibly another event on the way. Though I found the mood at JTAF 4 to be very mellow, it is in my opinion that us anime fans bring life to the event. I was at World Con last month and I never seen a con so dead. (There's nothing to report, ergo no con report) The only time it was really alive was at the midnight hour.

For what it was worth, I did enjoy JTAF. However, I wish there were more available staff present at the panel room ready to run any technical errands or call for equipment. However, we did get our apology in the end. That's all I could really asked for.

Otherwise, it was great seeing people again. Everyone from Anime FX to those that I don't get to see very often. I'm very happy that Satoru, Char, and Yaya were able to make it though they're very far from Northern Cali. Friends, it's you guys that make these con reports possible and make these cons come to life. Thanks!

Extra thanks goes to my housemates Jan and Madeleine for the ride on Saturday. (though you guys should be thanking me for the thread! just kidding)

And of course, thanks goes to Tomcat for being a silly Tomcat. ^^
