The day before JTAF2, Marc Exposition briefed me on what would be going on with the convention. Also on the day before, my roommates were trying to get me to go to some hip hop type club, but only if they went to Gaskell, I would go. So, while my roommates were preparing to go to their ball, I did some house cleaning and business educationing coutesy of Donald Trump's repeat of The Apprentice. (Go Bradford!) I had my clothes for Saturday all prepared and ready to wear. The next day, I woke up pretty early. Tom would not be showing up until the afternoon. He had bussiness to attend too. I prepared a turkey avocado wrap for him. Once he arrived, he got into Lupin III garb and we were set for JTAF. We took the 28 down 19th avenue. There were a few teenagers attending the 9/11 peace rally at Golden Gate park on the bus as well. They were having some interesting converations about April O Neil copulating with one of the ninja turtles. I'll leave it at that. We got to our stop on Park Presidio to catch the 38. We went to the stop and the 38 passed us! Yet, it was the 38 express instead of the regular 38. We eventually caught our bus and we were on our way. We entered the Japanese mall area and just wandered about. Ran into friends here and there. We ran into Veronica. Tom, Kenny, and I babysat her two kids. Tom has come to the conclusion that he only wants one kid. Well, they were getting really rough on the guys to the point where it was just completely wrong. Kenny, who was working con security was being attacked by chibi people. Though it was an interesting adventure, it was a cute one indeed - almost like Lupin III: Die Nostradamus (funny that I'm in Fujiko's Die Nostradamus dress) Thanks Veronica. Though Saturday was a slow day, conventioners were making the best of what they can. Some people had a jump rope contest. First Tony set the bar, then Tom broke the record. I finally met Will, someone that Ace introduced to me online three years ago. I also met his girlfriend Anna as well. For the most part, Tom and I were chillin' with Hitori, Mutton, Heather, and Stephi. Stephi was such a good Miroku that I didn't realize it was her. I had to re-introduce myself to her. Mutton and Heather were going crazy about the bees and killing them off. Tom and I went to dinner at Denny's. Right...dinner at Denny's when you're in Japantown. Honestly, I was not in the mood for Japanese since I have Asian cuisine most of the time anyway. Tom and I were working on Austin Powers character associations with friends. After dinner, we ran into Akito and Albert. Told us that there was a dance coming up, but looks like we had to pass on it. Tom was about ready to leave. Thing is, I don't know how to get back to SFSU from Japantown at night. "But why don't you take the 38 to the 28?" Well, I'd have to get off at Park Presidio, and that area isn't safe at night. I called Kenny and he was going to help us out. Tom and I just took a short nap on the stairs and re-located to the lobby area. To kill some time, we did some crossword puzzles. We ran into Lionel and he told us about his latest convention adventures. Kenny and Albert joined us later for some late night chit chatting. Kenny said his aunt could give us a ride back to SFSU. Thanks Kenny! Tom
and I went back to my dorm apartment place and just rested for the rest
of the night. Pictures are copyright by Victoria Erica (Scarlet Rhapsody). If I took your picture, feel free to use it on your site or cosplay gallery.
