After the fighting game gathering, and some brutality to Keitaro, we decided to hit our hotel room for some dinner.  We had leftovers from our lunch at Original Joe's so we had more than just simple snacks for that night.  The break was refreshing and it helped us prepare for events later in the night.  After we had filled up on leftovers and tea we changed up our cosplays.

We decided to change into Giovanni and Persian from Pokemon. Victoria decided to head down to the doll gathering in the Marriot lobby while I tried to relax a bit prior to my panels. After a brief rest I decided to meet up with Victoria, however, like a fool I went to the Hilton lobby and had to backtrack. Not one of my finer moments. However, I finally made my way to the doll gathering.

Victoria also ran into Stan and Deb during the doll gathering. They were cosplaying from Kamen Rider.

After the doll gathering we had to make our way up to the room to put the dolls away and then to the panelist lounge in order to check in prior to my panels. Due to elevator traffic it took much longer to check in that we wanted. After we checked in Victoria and I took separate paths. I went to the room where my panel was to be held and Victoria went to the Awesomely Bad J-Music Videos panel.

Awesomely Bad J-Music Videos was hosted by Hanyaan, Astro, Tog, and Kyle. They ran the panel before in 2009. This time, they had a few new videos to show to the audience. The highlight of the panel was when they played Hard Gay's "Young Man," a cover of the Village People's "YMCA," and everyone proceeded to do the YMCA in the audience.

My horror panel began at 10PM. I was joined by Austin Wright (Animation Liberation) as I was last year at this panel. This year I went with a new method that I had tried out at Anime Los Angeles. I began with lighter shows and made my way to the super violent shows. It was pretty successful and led to some crazy discussions about horror titles like Monster, Drifting Classroom, and Gantz. However, the highlight came when Austin and I argued about the sexual undertones of Bleach. We have since decided that we may have to start up a ‘Sexual Undertones of Bleach’ panel. It would be a fun panel, but I doubt any convention would allow us to be done.

The horror continued after the panel with my convention horror stories panel. Austin and I had planned to have a big group of us for this panel. Sadly most of the crew did not show up. However, we had the joy of Victoria and Anton joining us for the panel. We told some good stories and had some laughs with the crowd. However, by the midnight hour we had begun to run out of good stories or maybe we were just tired. The panel concluded with talking about how to survive a zombie attack, joking about Stan’s Obama mask, and making fun of current anime titles. Overall, the panel was fun, but it would have been totally crazy if we had gathered the planned team.

After the panel Victoria and I went to the Marriott lobby for some sexy Persian and Giovanni pictures. As it was getting toward 1:30AM we decided to get back to the room and rest before our busy day tomorrow.
