Con took place on May 22 - 25, 2009 at the San Jose McEnery Convention
Center in downtown San Jose, CA. The event celebrates its 15th year.
Even so, this Bay Area anime convention lives by its tagline – “by fans,

Fanime felt like a compilation of the greatest hits from previous years.
Everything old is new again! No cosplayers were harmed in any rumble,
except for the Hetalia Axis Powers people.
fan's Macross 7 Trash is someone's One Piece treasure. I do not

Little world, step aside! Fanime Con 2009 celebrated music. What

When you're a shoujo-tastic princess from the solar system, you

All the world is only you and me...but the world ends with some.
Saturday morning cosplayers.
And then we'll have us a ball! Fanime's Cosplay Spectacular delivers,
but your anime sucks!
