The operation began with a simple flight from Los Angeles to San Jose. Two little girls smuggled into my purse ready to greet their papa. For the attention grabbing pre-credit sequence, Traveling Valentine raided the Fanime Press Department to procure Press IDs to infiltrate the Fanime convention. The mission was accomplished and included a brief melee between Tom and Officer BART Boy, who turned out to be our CIA (Convention Intel Agency) contact. Afterwards, we hit the movie theater to watch "Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End." Tom has the following comments about the experience:
Now roll the credit sequence with silhouettes of naked girls doing random things to a kick-ass intro song. --- On Fanime's Secret Service Story
by Tom and Victoria as Traveling Valentine as Bond --- Friday morning: Tom dropped me off at the San Jose convention center before reporting to his MI-6 Headquarters. I used my Ayaka Kisaragi disguise (code name: Lady in Red) from Phantom Quest Corps (Yuugen Kaisha). Tom would be joining me later in the day as Kozo Karino. I rendezvoused with Mr. Wendell informing him of the cancellation of our Stage Zero screening. I also ran into Jonathan Osbourne and killed him with my shoe. Red stillettos have become the new weapon of choice. Let's get some shoes. Friday was less crowded, but there were many cosplayers to take photos of. I ran into many of my friends - some of which I have not seen since I moved away from San Francisco to Los Angeles. When my SoCal friends were in sight, I was so happy to see them. Compared to Anime Expo, Fanime really brings both sides of California together. It was a pleasure to introduce my favorite people from Northern California to my favorite people from Southern California. Tom finally arrived at the San Jose Convention Center. By that time, Traveling Valentine was in full force to take on Fanime. We only had one Saturday Night Special and a tube of lipstick to take on the initial patrol of Braindead Liberal Terrorists armed with obnoxious rudeness, but nameless goons on patrol are so easy to evade and/or dispatch.
