Okay, so I just finished my last semester at Sonoma State University. What better way to celebrate than by going to an anime convention? I stayed with Tom for about a week before the start of the con since there was no sense in going home after finals and flying back the next week. Before the start of the con, we fixed up our costumes. Integral still needed work on and I had to figure out how to do Rabi en Rose's socks. 

Thursday rolled around. Sora and Will were arriving at San Francisco International. Originally, they were scheduled to arrive at San Jose, but ATA changed it. Tom was already up by the time Will called. I was quite sleepy eyed still. Once Tom had to finish what needed to be done on the computer, we high tailed to SFO. We picked them up from the airport, and both of them shared horror stories about Kaze Con. It's quite scary. x.x

Will took a nap at Tom's house. We just chilled out at Tom's until it came time to go. Tom and I did last minute packing for the con. The four of us headed over to  In and Out Burger for a cheap as heck lunch. Figures out that In and Out doesn't exist in Chicago. I had to stop by Longs Drugs if they had an eyebrow plucker, but turns out Sora already had one. 

Finally we left for the con. We had to caravan because all of our stuff couldn't fit in Tom's tiny Corolla. His mom opted to use the van to carry most of our luggage. I volunteered to go with her. Sora kept teasing me that it was going to be quality bonding with a potential in law. 

Finally got to the con. We got to our hotel room (503 at the Hilton!) and just rested for a bit. Registration rolled around. The four of us went in line to pick up our badges. The line looked like a fanboy chantytown. We were finally able to pick up our badges. We wandered around for a bit into the swap meet. Saw nothing of particular interest though. Sora and Will went back to the room to catch up on sleep. Tom and I went out to dinner at the Hilton restaurant and had our traditional pina colada. 

Tom needed to speak to Kyle about our Fanime photoshoot. We chilled out with Al for the time being to wait up for him. Along the way, I ran into Kele Michelle and Masako. Yay for old skool avas! Tom and I retired back to the room and watched some tele with Will - everything from Jay Leno to Back to the Future until we all fell asleep.
