What better way to start off the day with some soccer? Shaolin style! I've seen Shaolin Soccer before at Condensed Milk, but it's been a while. It was a good laugh. Tom talked about the potential Shaolin Soccer cosplay group. What can I say? Very entertaining HK flick. If you're in for great laughs, go see the one asap. Gotta love that dance sequence in the director's cut. Tom and I headed over to my favorite Italian restaurant - The Olive Garden. We had outdoor seating. Interesting enough, our waitress was this girl I knew in high school. Small world isn't it? After lunch, we headed over to AMC 20 to see Pirates of the Carribbean. I'm a huge Disneyland nut. I remember the special that Disney used to show about the opening of the original ride in New Orleans Square. After investing in endless animated feature sequel, I would have to say making movies based on Disneyland attractions is a good investment. The movie turned out better than I thought it would be. It doesn't have a happy-go-lucky-everyone-is-happy sort of feel. This is something Walt Disney would actually been proud of if he was alive today. Yes, Tom and I did see the entire movie because it was that good. Couldn't take my eyes off the screen with all them swords and costume designs. Overall, this would have to be my favorite movie of 2003. We headed over to Borders to check out the manga. I got myself INVU vol 3. Still have yet to read it. We went back home. Sora started to tease me about not seeing the entire movie due to the fact I was with Tom. ^_^;; I'm not that type. Silly Sora. Tom changed into Lupin, and I changed into a black evening dress. We headed over to Anaheim for some ballroom dancing. We got lost trying to find the place. When in doubt, check the odometer or start from the nearest Taco Bell. We eventually found the place - EZ Dancing. Turns out that for the first hour, we had to sit through a birthday party. So high school type stuff was being played. We got up up and danced for a few songs. It was looking like a high school dance sort of thing. The upside to it was the people hosting the party gave us free food. They encouraged us to take as many food as we want. Once that party was over, the regular music started to play. Tom and I danced to tango, rumba, fox trot, cha cha, and swing. We even recieved lessons from the owners of the dance spot. Hopefully, both of us will remember. I was kinda caught off gaurd when the lady sorta stole my Lupin for a while. ^_^;;; Anyways, once we go back to school, we're taking more ballroom lessons so we can get more social dancing time in. ^_^v Here's to the next AX Ball. |
