We got up early for the third day of the event. While our CtrlAltKill teammate was still out from partying last night, we were refreshed and ready to go. We had a quick breakfast, got some food supplies and made our way to the bus. As we only had one section left to look at we hit the North Hall. North Hall was perhaps the weakest of the convention areas. We found little that piqued our interest, but that little went a long way. Odd gadgets like Volkswagens that can drive on a record (and play it) looked like fun kitsch for the home. This hall also brought out our inner child with a booth featuring products based on Cartoon Network properties. I was very distracted by the Star Wars toys and I played with each and every toy. I felt bad about playing around with the prototypes, but it is Star Wars so I could not help myself. Right across from that booth was the Matel booth. Where once gain I got distracted by toys. While there were some new board games and Hot Wheels with cameras inside, what really distracted me were the Barbie games for the tablet. As it turns out I am pretty good at these games, I even earned the top score in dog grooming. It was a nice change from the usual tech and we wished that more toy companies were at the event. As a fan of audio products and surround sound I had to try the egg stereos. A little pod that had a fully setup surround system inside the egg-chair. The chiar cut off almost all exterior sound and peripheral distractions. After tying it I had to ask the price, sadly the answer was a bit higher than I can afford right now. As we wandered North Hall we found a section dedicated to foreign companies. However, they were not showing off products so much as look for American distributers and investors. This was a large area and took up at least half the hall. We found ourselves lost for quiet some time. As the afternoon approached we decided to call it an early day. We took the bus back, got a nice dinner and wandered Vegas. We also took this time to organize notes and discuss our plans with our roommate Andrew (CtrlAltKIll). We were lucky enough to get to bed a bit earlier than the previous nights which our sore muscles desperately needed.
