Saturday is considered the busiest day of the convention. It was so busy, one had to wait in line at Starbucks for half an hour. Then again, the Los Angeles Convention Center only had one Starbucks. I decided to cosplay as Maki from Geobreeders on the Fourth of July. Of course, I started off my morning a Mocha Frappachino with a side of a M80. Saturday became my designated shopping day. I picked up Full Metal Panic and Full Metal Fumoffu for super cheap. I also picked up my favorite dating game anime series, Sister Princess for super cheap as well. These were legitimate dvds, that was the best part. The fruit of the day was when Jared and I were passing by a booth that was playing “Do You Remember the Time” by Michael Jackson. He simply asked me, “Do you want to dance?” If anyone has video of the two of us dancing in the dealer’s room, please send me an email (v @ scarlet-rhapsody.com). Outside the dealer’s room, a group of Vocoloids danced to Perfume’s “Chocolate Disco.”
After my shopping spree, we rested up. Jared took a nap with his new figure, Rihanna. I took pictures of fellow cosplayers.
And then I took shots of Jared’s Watanku (xxxHolic) that I commissioned. His Chobits ears are actually a working headphone set. And then he took pictures of my Maki (Geobreeders) by my favorite Los Angeles Convention Center photo spot. We showed up briefly at the crowded Super Smash Brothers gathering. Before heading out to the Westin for lunch, I decided to visit the memorial wall for Michael Jackson and snag a photo or two by the wall. Pictures are copyright by Scarlet Rhapsody. If I took your picture, feel free to use it on your site or cosplay gallery. While you're here, do sign the guestbook. This site was brought to you by the font Forte Script. Many thanks to Chaz Boston Baden for the image resizing and watermarking program. |
