What is an anime convention without a visit to the Dealer's Room? Tom and I did not get a chance to visit the Dealer's Room on the first day. We started the day off with a photoshoot courtesy of Consplayers as Lupin and Fujiko before meandering into the Dealer's Room. The Dealer's Room took two exhibit halls, believe it or not. It was a good thing because it did not feel so claustrophobic. We were approached by Anime Selects for an interview to be broadcast on “On Demand.” If you have access to On Demand, be sure to check out Traveling Valentine! Tom was looking for a State Alchemist costume. We found two stores that carried that costume. Because Tom likes burninating things, he always wanted to cosplay Roy Mustang (Full Metal Alchemist). Originally, I had no intention of purchasing a State Alchemist costume. I thought about cosplaying Riza Hawkeye. I've thought about Lust and Psiren (gotta love the Fujiko tribute!), but my friends say I'm more of a Riza. Honestly, I have not finished Full Metal Alchemist, but you cannot go wrong with a girl with a gun. So Tom and I both got State Alchemist costumes. For $80, the quality was not bad, but needed some adjusting and washing. We bought the uniforms as an anniversary present to each other. For the most part, we went window shopping. I finally got a pair of cat ears from Cosworx. Yaya Han was selling the resin cat ears. I wanted to get a pair at Fanime, but they were sold out. So many to choose from! I got a pink and black set because you can't go wrong with that combo. Thank you very much, Cosworx. We ran into our friends from AnimeFX, Marc and Jimbo. Marc thanked me on his knees for the Anime Expo badge. Since I won a raffle at Fanime two years ago, they gave me a free AX06 membership. Since Tom and I already had Industry, I did not want that free badge to go to waste. The original idea was to have a Truffle Shuffle contest, but since that discriminated against the ladies, I gave it to my good comrade of the order of Ating Tao Green Team, Marc. Even greater, bigger stuff awaits! Pictures are copyright by Victoria Erica. If I took your picture, feel free to use it on your site or cosplay gallery. If you want me to remove something, kindly email me. While you're here, do sign the guestbook. This site was brought to you by the font Alien League. |
