Today we celebrate our anniversary day. I remember the first time I went to Anime Expo in 1999. After Tom left, I found the sketch I got at artist alley of the anime sketch of me. My overbite, glasses, and short hair were seen. The only thing I do not understand is why that artist gave me big boobs when I was 14 during the time. This marks AX number eight for me. This marks Traveling Valentine's fourth.

What can I say? This was a great Anime Expo. There were many highlights. The best one had to be the Masquerade Ball (not to be confused with the cosplay contest). That was a great event and I was happy that I could stay for most of it. It was a huge improvement from previous years. We really hope that Cosplay Events Staff keeps up the great work (and will still let Tom and I help out!).

Despite that I had an acid reflux before Anime Expo, the convention was still enjoyable. One of my favorite parts about going to Anime Expo is the food. The Oasis Cafe remains a nostalgic place for Tom and I since we have had many a couples dinner at that place. Not to mention that the drinks are well mixed and the vegetables are fresh. The Sheraton's hotel had a very filling minestrone soup. If anything, I ate very healthy at Anime Expo. No ramen or Pocky for me. I've grown out of that stage.

Only the heavens (or whatever celestial realm you believe in) know how the Long Beach Convention Center will fit over 40 thousand anime fans. Until then, it will remain a mystery just as puzzling as a Dan Brown novel.

Of course, it was great seeing friends again. I'm not in Southern California all that often, but I really enjoyed seeing all of you guys, even though it was for a little bit. I am not one to make shout outs, but it was great getting to know each of you a little bit more. I truly treasure what time we have together. You're always welcomed to contact me. My email is v AT scarlet-rhapsody DOT com and we can exchange contact information from there.

Of course, tons of thanks goes to Tom for making this Anime Expo extra special! Happy Anniversary, honey. I love you. (That's why we're gonna be in Paris in August!)
