Breaking up isn't I know. Going our seperate ways back to our normal lives. Thus reality hits. Again, I probably won't see Sora until Otakon or Fanime. (Right...no Anime Central 2004 for Victoria). I probably won't see Tom until I go back up to the bay area. Either way, it's going to be a while until I see my bestest friends again.

Anime Expo 2003 was a different experience for me. I haven't been acquainted with the ACC. Yes, I went in 1999, but it was dealer's room only admission. The atmosphere was different from Long Beach, but the walking wasn't all that bad. Typically, there's a Christian Convention alongside AX. To a certain extent I didn't mind, but I feel they should have stayed in their part of the con. Some of my friends have had stories about being approached and ridiculed. I don't have anything against religion, feel free to worship and congregate, but there's a line to be drawn.

The total amount of attendees was around 1700. The con was quite spread out between hotels and convention center. For some reason it felt like attendance dropped. However more mainstreamers headed to this convention - y'know the type whose only seen one anime on CN and consider themselves hardcore? Cosplay was also a different atmosphere. True, there were awesome costumes, but there wasn't much that had my jaw drop to the floor like the previous years I went. Despite Kevin Lilliard's lack of presence, we had uber spiffy photographers like Kyle, Lionel, and Albert to do the camera thing.

Also, I need to plan summer cosplays should AX continue the Anaheim location. It's more inland compared to Long Beach. I was roasting in my Sister Princess Karen costume. Luckily, the nights aren't that cold. ^_^;

Another let down was AX Idol. I was expecting something more organized in timing and less chaotic. The staff of the it did the best they could. Yet, I felt it could have ran more smoothly had it been better planned. The AX Ballroom Dance made up for that. If it was one event I truly enjoyed the most, it would have been the Ballroom Dance. It's a great way to break from the raves and dancing to BOTH top 40 music and anime music.

Also, what would this con be like without the people that make it memorable. I won't give individual shoutouts 'cause I don't want to leave anyone out. Thank you for making Anime Expo possible. To those of you who cheered me up on Thursday when I had that bit of drama, you guys are the best! Thanks for supporting me. To the friends who where in the AX Idol audience, thanks for the support and the cheers! It really meant a lot! Okay, I said I won't name names, but this is an exception to the rule...thank you Sora and Will for flying over here. I know AX wasn't the best of cons for you guys, but it was cool hanging out with you. Hopefully, we'll meet again next year. Thanks Jenna for the room, though I was kinda going crazy about it two weeks before AX. ^_^;

There were friends I wish I could have talked to more, but there's AniMagic to look forward too! ^.~ Anime Expo 2003 was good, but it wasn't was orgasmic good as Anime Expo 2002. Still AX03 had it's moments. Thank you for making those moments - from gatherings, dinner time, and chatting wonderful. Also, thank you to the random people who took my individual and duo pictures.

Special thanks goes to Tom. Thank you for the cosplay duos and the enchanted evening that was Friday night. ^_^ I will eventually cosplay as Fujiko Mine!

So this is it for now. I will be at Anime Expo next summer. Of course, it's my summer home con. Maybe I'll do the masquerade or enter the AMV contest or hit karaoke. Oh well, que sera...que sera...whatever the future will be...
