Behind the Cashman Center, there was a picnic place for decent outdoor photo shoots. We decided to go as Final Fantasy 7 characters on Sunday. Jared brought Reno back because you Kingdom Hearts boys don't know how to act. I brought my brand new Scarlet costume. Scarlet was decided upon two weeks before since I somehow ended up with red fabric in my sewing supplies stock. I already had the wig and access to artilery. One of the few places at Anime Vegas for decent photoshoots served our mini Shinra shoot well. Though Jared's rod suffered some slight damage, his Reno cosplay garnered much fangirl attention in hugs and requests for glomps. I was rather surprised that people recognized me as Scarlet since she is one of more obscure charcters in the Final Fantasy franchise. I was not expecting people to, since I'm used to cosplaying as obscure characters. To tell the truth, I was not sure if my Scarlet would look good on me, but I'm happy it turned out the way that it did. There were other cosplayers hanging out the in the picnic area - either to have lunch or to to rehearse for masquerade later in the day. Anime Vegas took place side by side with a gun show. I did not have any problems with them, but I did find it odd that both events would occur at the same time. Not to mention, if one wanted to go to the club level, they would have to bypass the gun show area. I did meet a few airsofters from Anime Vegas. Since Scarlet is head of Shinra weapons development, I thought it would be cool to pose with them for photos. For whatever reason, Anime Vegas slowly started to loose it's lifeforce at around 5PM. Though people were getting ready for masquerade, there really was not much else going on. There were not many alternatives to seeing masquerade as the exhibit hall was closing and panels had to end at a certain time. We perused our way to the shuttle and decided to call it day. For the rest of the day, we decided to go back to the Las Vegas strip. We had to wait for The Deuce longer than usual. There already was a long line. A homeless guy started to harrass Jared for change (he should have asked Obama). The bus finally arrived half an hour later, but it took an hour to get to our destination. Essentially, the bus driver was being really annoying and threatened not to move the bus until all passengers moved to the back of the bus. Because of the delay, we missed the 7PM showing of Jersey Boys. We ended up going to Caesar's Palace instead for dinner. After doing some window shopping at the Forum Shops, we went to Cheesecake Factory for a very refreshing dinner. Trust me, after that bus ride from hell, we needed a serious breather. There are not many photos of our adventure on the strip. Well, as they say - whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Okay, my camera battery died (and I brought the wrong charger). Little known Las Vegas fact: The Phoenix Wright games originated in Rome with Caesar shouting, "Et Tu Brute!" to Brutus Edgeworthius. Pictures are copyright by Scarlet Rhapsody.
