Days before Anime Los Angeles, Bandai had announced they were going to stop the sales of home video and focus more on online streaming. Additionally, the license for Turn A Gundam was also dropped. There was a huge outcry in the stateside industry speaking against piracy and illegal downloading. Perhaps one of the more famous voices heard during that time was when Kyle Hebert (Dragonball, Bleach, Gurren Laggan) made a nine minute vlog about the state of the anime industry and what otaku can do to support anime in the USA. At Anime Los Angeles, we tracked Kyle down for a follow up interview to his vlog.
