There have been a few times when I've been sick at conventions - Fanime 2004 and Anime Expo 2006 (more of a scare than anything else). Yet, being bed ridden for a few hours was for the better, even if I had to miss out on a few photo oppurtunities. Many thanks to Tom and Diana for looking after me and food! Nothing like Orangina to cure an upset stomach! While riding the elevator, Tom and Diana had an interesting encounter with a Russian non-attendee. Despite the Russian's compliments, Diana is NOT Tom's wife.

We had a good crew in our hotel room - Diana, Carolyn, Tom, and Deb (with the occasional Greg). There was many LOLs in the hotel room for the remainder of the afternoon. Many of which included Diana's subversive sense of style. Carolyn was fresh from the Harry Potter gathering as James Potter. We had a "Blue Lolita" meet up in our hotel room when Cosette and Eponine were in baby blue Lolita clothes and Julia was in a blue Lolita outfit that matched.

For dinner, we settled for room service. The Daily Grill was too pricey. No one wanted to walk in the rain to Del Taco. Splitting an appetizer and/or a main entree was the way to go. The hotel food was decent.

Feeling somewhat better, we went to visit Emerald. She had her baby with her and a lot of us wanted to see the seven month old cosplayer. Thanks for having us over.

The Proctor Twins and a band of Columbian drug lords plotted to take over Anime Los Angeles through Autobot and Decepticon ribbons. The drug shipment was delayed. (ANDROMEDA STRAIN?)

Though we didn't do the official Harry Potter gathering, Tom and I did our own photo set in the hotel hallway. Aww...wish our little Ravenclaw sister could have joined us if she was still in her uniform!

We crashed the Rum Party. Like every year, it was too crowded and dark. I remember the room being much larger in 2006. Yet, I can't complain about the ice tea (anything fruity helped my illness die down faster). Stan and friends were playing Guitar Hero upstairs back in the room. Guitar Hero then turned into Karaoke Revolution. We played duet rounds of Me and ??, Tom and Diana, and miscellaneous pairings of convenience and moods. We each selected songs per round with a completely random song for the final round. When Tom and Stan went up for their last random song, it turned out to be "Endless Love."

Because Tom and Stan like to have EPIC BATTLE everytime they come face to face, "Endless Love" has been dubbed as Optimus Prime (Stan) and Megatron's (Tom) song. For the record, they failed. And like most parties, it's all fun and games until hotel security knocks on the door in response to neighbors complaining about the noise. Then it's a GREAT party.
