Tom and I woke up bright and early for Sunday. Not only there was a doll panel, but we also had to run our own panel. This would be our Southern California debut of our documentary. Once we arrived, we ran into the Bleach gathering. We went to the dealer's room to see if we can do one last score. We talked to some Star Wars cosplayers about Rebel Base Alliance. We told them about our plans to do Star Wars cosplay for Memorial Day Weekend. We visisted Tiffany and friends one last time to see if they had extra sweets so we could give them out at our panel. We went to the doll panel as hosted by Karisu, Lindsay, and Sai. I pretty much knew everything covered in the panel, but you learn something new every day. I did not know that Cerebus Project is a Japanese company. Luts is just a Korean seller that happens to distribute these dolls. With that said, my kid delf Nara (Eponine) is originally Japanese. This was a better doll people gathering than the one held on Friday. Tom helped out by passing out raffle tickets. Lucky winners would be getting certificates from Celga. There were more dolls present. We were surprised to see Kevin Lilliard (Fansview) on Sunday. He just came in from Texas after covering an Ushi Con event. We ran into Richard because I had something special to give to his family. While finding shoes for Fujiko, I found a pair of Pikachu slippers that were never worn. I thought their family could appreciate such a gift. At 2PM, we screened our documentary. We had a pretty decent turnout. We attracted many people to our Star Wars versus Hidden Fortress segment. Needless to say, people were very much pleased by our documentary and look forward to more. Thank you, Matt and Carolyn! As an unexpected occurance, I was asked to judge Iron Cosplay. Frankly, I was only there to score some scrap fabric. (At least I'm being honest). Iron Cosplay at Anime Los Angeles had you make 12" Barbie sized dolls into anime characters. We loved both the Yakite Japan and Ranma doll, but the cake when to the Yakite Japan. As we were on our way out back to Torrance, we ran into our photographer friends. We had the unofficial Photographer Gathering. Remember, photographers need love too. Aftwards, we drove back to relax for a while before Tom had to fly back to San Jose. It was bittersweet taking him to the airport. I forgot what my dad was playing on the radio, but I had to change the station so I wouldn't feel so emo. I'm very happy Tom and I managed to enjoy another weekend in Southern California. Pictures are copyright by Victoria Erica.
