After changing our clothes and resting up a bit we headed out to enjoy the nightlife. First we went to get dinner at the hotel bar, which had horrible service, but good food. After dinner we had some time to kill so we headed into the dance party Hardcore Synergy.

The dance was great. It featured live DJ mixing, a flashy light show, and a fun vibe. The Anime Central dances are considered by many attendees to be the best dances in the Midwest. While we cannot compare Hardcore Synergy to any other Midwest dance, we can say that it was better than any rave stylized dance we have attended in years.

We took a quick break and sat in a lounge area and listened to the piano. As it turned out Andrew, the piano player, was a member of Arc Impulse which is made up of former members of the Spoony Bards. It was nice catching up with the band members as it had been quite some time since we had seen them. After cooling off and chatting with the band we took a second run of Hardcore Synergy.

The big event for the night we were looking forward to was the Good Old Days panel. This panel was focused on watching anime in the 80s and early 90s. The panel was fun and it had a good amount of audience participation. We wanted to go to the Berserk panel, but the line smelled rather ripe and we decided we could go without the panel.

We walked back to the Hyatt and caught the tail end of Anime Hell. It featured various music videos, internet videos, and sketches played out in a Robot Chicken style. After that Midnight Madness began a little after midnight. It opened with the parody dub of Akira called Fanboy Sozie then brought out Macross 7.5 and a half. They were very funny and worth staying up for. As it closed in on two in the morning we decided to head up to the room and get some sleep before the very busy day two.
