Now that was a good night sleep! Well, a little too good of a good night sleep. Our day started out later than usual at 10AM. We cospayed as Touya and Nadeshiko Kinomoto from Card Captor Sakura because our long time Chicago friend Jen requested it. We picked up our press badges in the lower lobby of the Hyatt. Tom set up the Mingle Mode for "The World Ends With You" and was leveling up and shopping among fellow Players and Reapers.

We headed to the Dealers Room. There was much to be found. The biggest attractions from the convention shopping center was the amount of cosplay and Japanese tradition and street fashion wear available. It was almost if you could buy a full ensemble if you forgot something of your own - kimonos, shinigami robes, school girl uniforms, gothic lolita wear, you name it! I picked up a pair of tabi socks because I lost my own pair. I was happy to pay $10 the new pair.

One of my favorite highlights of Anime Central shopping is the Artist Alley. It's the most bustling Artist Alley I've ever seen. You can also buy used costumes too! There were a few doll items for sale. The best part were the My Little Pony one of a kind's. I picked up a few stickers for a few of my Southern California friends as an Anime Central souvenir.

Of course, there were many cosplayers roaming around the Dealers Room. Like the day before, we were happy to see series that were hardly represented on the West Coast. Some cosplayers were grateful to be recognized by us. Of course, we ran into our friend Yaya at her booth. Speaking of cosplay, I picked up a few Bleach doujinshi from The Yaoi Guy. Okay, I normally prefer het pairings, but I lucked out! Apparantly, The Yaoi Guy hid a few het Bleach doujins in the yaoi section.

We exited out the convention center to find that the registration line circled around to the end of the convention center block. It was bloody insane. Some people were waiting five hours, six hours, and it was not getting any better either.

Tom and I had our usual lunch at O'H. For convention attendees, it's $12 for the all you can eat lunch buffet. I was quite surprised that the hotel and ACen was able to score this deal despite the past drama the hotel had with ACen in 2007. I settled with the yummy all you can eat salad bar.

We wandered back to the Dealers Room, that is until Dio Brando stopped time.

Once Dio Brando resumed time, we went back to the Dealers Room. Kenichi Sonoda was signing autographs. It was a very rare oppurtunity to meet the genius behind Gunsmith Cats. The best part was waiting in line with Sonoda geeks alike. Though the wait to have our DVDs signed was pretty long, it was great talking to fellow Gunsmith Cats geeks - at least we're not the only ones in existence! Tom got his DVD signed off with a sketch of Rally Vincent. A CZ75 is the best gun!

Of course, we finished our daily round at the Dealers Room.

I couldn't believe I spent that much on doujinshi! The highlight of the first part of day one was seeing Cosette and Eponine cosplayers. Yes, the Cosette and Eponine from Les Miserables. The Eponine was super cool to service us Eponine x Marius shippers by strangling the Cosette!
