In 2003, Lauren (aka Troppy) and I were pushing Issac for a ballroom dance. Well, we ended up having a much more mellow dance compared to a rave, but in 2007, Anime Central officially had a ballroom dance. Tom and I are happy that more anime conventions are adding ballroom dances to their programming. After all, we did officially fall in love after the Anime Expo 2003 ballroom dance.

We got ourselves the new hotel room. It was an executive suite. It was large enough to have several people for company, and enough to accommodate the people in our party. Tom and I dressed up as Layla and Takumi from Nana. We did more wandering in the Dealers Room. I did some window shopping. We also ran into Yaya Han. She was selling the usual cat ears.

Brianna was also helpful in providing us a mini photoshoot of our Trapnest costumes! Thanks for the help.

To kill time before the dance, we lined up for Yasuhiro Nightow's autograph session. Tom had his Kuroneko plushie so Nightow could sign the tag. A group of fanboys behind us gave Nightow Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Nightow sampled one and thought it was too sweet for his taste buds.

The time finally came for the Masquerade Ball. Tom and I were still in Trapnest, sans wigs. Unlike Anime Expo's Masquerade Ball, ACen had a live band. Most of the music was from video games. Try to polka to Katamari Damancy and Tetris. There was a hit from the 16th century as well, "Canon in D." I was very happy everyone was dressed up in their finest. There were a few "formal attire" cosplayers - Hinamori Momo, Rinoa, Squall, Ino from Naruto, Disney's Cinderella, and others. The dance could have used more romantic tunes and dances besides swing waltz, and polka, but I really enjoyed my time there.

The photos taken at the ballroom dance were from Tom's camera.

Steve Bennett also said "hi" to us as we were crossing the street from the Embassy Suites to the Hyatt.

From there, we went back to the hotel room. Jen shared her story at the concert about the lead singer putting the microphone in her face. From there, we called it a night.
