Sunday is always the toughest day for any awesome anime con. After a weekend of partying, there's a part of you that doesn't want the fun to end. Thankfully, we packed most of our stuff to avoid the elevator rush. However, we learned that the hotel does not hold bags for convention attendees. This was not an issue last year, but thankfully, con programming was kind enough to let attendees use their room for baggage storage.

Classic Anime for New Fans by Jared
Knowing the history of anime is important and our panel sought to help inform those interested in older titles about which ones they can find on DVD and online. While most of our titles did focus on shows and movies from the 80s and 90s we did try to give a good introduction to some older titles from the earlier and much harder to find eras of anime. Despite a slightly late start we were able to run the panel, show off some clips, and even answer some questions. We’d love to run this panel again with new clips and more suggestions.

Cosplay Dating Game by Scarlet
Another cosplay event that I like to catch when I have the chance is Cosplay Dating Game. Just like the game show it is based on, one cosplayer interviews three cosplay suitors. The cosplay picks one of thre three suitors to be their date. Everything is done in all good fun. There's different rounds for every preference - het, yuri, yaoi, and everything in between. The first round had one of the twins from Legend of Korra interview Waluigi, Maes Hughes, and Castiel. I really liked how the cosplayers were dedicated staying in character. The audience was entertained. This is one of those must-see events of the con if you want some good laughs.

Know Your Creators (and Directors) by Jared
Again, tapping into the well of anime history this panel covered some of the big names that have made anime the medium it now is. The panel was very informative and gave lists of popular titles by major studios and directors, but did not have clips or long explanations about what the majority of mentioned shows were about. It was a very interesting panel for those who know their history, but want to know more about anime history.

You’ll Love this! Lesser Known Anime You Beed to See by Jared
Despite some technical issues this panel attempted to talk about some lesser known anime from recent years. From oldies like “Bubblegum Crisis” to new favorites like “Is This a Zombie” were covered in the dourse of this panel. While I disagreed that some of the series were well known like “Azumanga Diaoh” there were plenty of obscure titles that are worth watching that got covered in the panel.

History of Lupin III by Jared
One of my favorite franchises is Lupin III and it is always a pleasure to talk about al the different aspects of the series. From anime to video games to adaptations from other countries there is almost too much Lupin to discuss. Despite being one of the last panels of the day there was still a nice sized audience for a day three panel. Everyone had some laughs some of the silly clips and several people showed interest in the Lupin import games. It was a fun panel to wrap up the convention.

Leaving the con was bittersweet. The wind was already howling. The weather was getting colder and colder to show that autumn was also coming to an end. We went to the Boston Express stop to ensure a seat on the bus. Even the driver was surprised that there were plenty of people on the bus en route to Boston. It was a full bus back to Mass. For the most part, we just took a nap and looked forward heading home. It was an eventful weekend that we won't forget.
