About In Fall 2006, I took a Video Pre-Production course at San Francisco State University. The class was taught by Betsy Blosser. The course content emphasized the need for diversity and breaking stereotypes in media for young people. After intensive market research and study, our group, Back of the Class Productions, decided on creating a show about middle school students and their eccentric homeroom teacher, Mr. Thomas Katz, entitled Katz's Kids. I was responsible for writing the episode outlines and most of the character descriptions. Thomas Katz, Lucky, Kristy, Adam, Will, Steve, and Diana are creations of my own. Nancy and Claudia belong to Marc. For his final project, Marc Dichoco wrote an episode entitled, "It's Not Easy Being Geek" in which it deals with popular cliques versus the nerdy populace in a middle school setting. Scarlet Rhapsody adapted the script (originally for television) into a radio drama. Several elements have been changed such as the name of the school and most of the narration is done by Mr. Katz. Project Status Awaiting confirmation from the parts of Adam, Will, Steve, and Claudia.
