San Diego Comic Con 2026 took place on July 23 to July 26, 2026 at the San Diego Convention Center. The legendary and granddaddy of all cons remains strong after decades of existence. This year, numbers were higher than ever. Hall H was the happening place. Despite heat and humidity, fans gathered for the four day festival of geeks. This year\u2019s highlights included Spaceballs<\/em>, Marvel Cinematic Universe announcements, and a surprise amount of Dungeon Crawler Carl<\/em> cosplayers that may eclipsed Star Wars<\/em> and Marvel fandoms.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I have been attending San Diego Comic Con regularly since Comic Con Special Edition<\/a>. Attendees question if Hollywood has a place at the international comics exhibition as Hall H panels are in demand and may define an attendee\u2019s experience. I\u2019ve been going to SDCC for the vibes, cosplay, and to try out niche-topic panels.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, I had three priorities: 1) entering masquerade, 2) running the Y2K Anime Fandom panel, and 3) have my first convention signing with Diwata Komiks. This was going to be a different year because this was my first time as a published author!\u00a0 <\/span>The con report theme is based of Madonna’s latest album, Confessions II<\/em>. The intro to “I Feel So Free” is very fitting of how I go from my real life blues into a convention. And what better convention to be me, a fandom author, cosplayer, and whimsically spreading sparkle around…because why not?<\/p>\n
