Los Angeles Comic Con 2024 took place on October 4-6, 2024 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in downtown Los Angeles. This pop culture convention, two hours from San Diego and a few months after San Diego Comic Con, hails on it’s celebrity culture. This year brought in cast members and stars of Back to the Future, The Addams Family, and Star Wars as their headlining guests. Lines for Moulin Rouge’s Ewan McGregor’s and The Virgin Unaliving’s Hayden Christensen’s photo ops and autographs were the event’s hot ticket. Los Angeles Comic Con is arguably much more accessible to the stars and merch than the veteran San Diego Comic Con. Tickets hardly sell out, crowds aren’t as suffocating, and there’s always a seat in the panel rooms.

I have been attending LACC since it’s inaugural 2011 event at Kentia Hall. October is spooky season. While many people flock to Knotts, Universal, and Disney for their spooky dress up time fix, LACC was just as popular as any theme park spooktacular.

This report gets an Olivia Rodrigo theme because I could have seen her this weekend had I accepted a trip to Manila.

Disclosure: Geki and I were invited to be panelists for my book, “The Fangirl Diaries” and performing for Cosplay Wrestling Federation: Cosmic Clash.
