Avengers vs. X-Men with the newest issue of Wolverine and the X-Men. The majority of this book focuses upon Wolverine making his decision as to which side to support. In addition both students and faculty are beginning to worry about the upcoming battles. This is a very character driven tale that explores the tough decisions Wolverine is dealing with during this crisis.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1340" You can tell that the faculity of the Jean Gray School have some difficult choices to make. The writing helps clearify Wolverine’s feelings on this conflict, which helps make this an enjoyable tie-in book. The art has the same flaws as most of the previous issues of this series. The faces do not look “right” and the bodies can be a little bulky or improperly proportioned. The background and the buildings look fine. Thankfully this weakness is balanced by the great writing.

<a more of a story pushed forward by an interesting premise and witty dialogue. While, there has been action it is not the driving force for this series. This issue continues that trend while still providing a very interesting tie-in that explores the motivations of a character who is known more for stabbing first and asking questions later. It is nice to see a deeper Wolverine, who reflects upon and thinks about his actions. I highly recommend this series to X-Men fans and if you want a good character driven side story to Avengers vs. X-Men then read this tie-in book.

Bizarro Approved!

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" Cyclops and his team as they prepare for and battle the Avengers. The issue begins with the team preparing for battle and exploring their motivations. When the battle actually begins you get some expanded footage of the battle between Red Hulk and Colossus that builds upon the brief fight between them from Avengers vs. X-Men 2. The issue concludes by focusing on Hope’s perspective from the closing scene from Avengers vs. X-Men 2 that clarify what happens at the end of that book.

<a text is thought captions that explains the mortivation and situation of the various characters. The story is a well done tie-in as it expands upon the events from Avengers vs. X-Men 2, but it does jump around quite a bit. The artwork looks fairly good. The characters are well drawn and the backgrounds, though plain, are clearly defined. Generally this issue holds ture to the continuity of the main series.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone the main series. While some of the Avengers tie-in books barely added anything other than trying to tie up loose ends from a previous arc. This issue did a great job of adding to the event, without spoiling any of the further story. If you have been enjoying the main Avengers vs. X-Men series then give this issue a read it is a great companion piece to the series. If you do not care about the X-Men then this can be skipped.

Bizarro Approved!

<a
