Eponine is my first doll. She has a very interesting travel story. My friend, Karisu, offered to order her for me so she can do the face up one she arrived in the states. I originally wanted to order Kid Delf Jeong, but Luts ended up shipping the wrong doll. However, when Karisu showed me the face up work on her, I could not stand the idea of having this doll shipped back to Korea. I was going to give her a home in San Francisco. (I lived in San Francisco at the time).
One day, I picked her up from my friend's house just before watching The Lion King in downtown San Jose. Throughout the month of February, all of my friends were excited to meet Eponine. Eponine's namesake is from Les Miserables. I welcomed Eponine home during a time when I was really into Les Miserables. I always thought it was a pretty name. I was this close naming her Melissa. The namesake of Melissa comes from a doll that I bought when I went to Korea in the late 80s that I named Melissa.
Eponine is a very sweet lady. She dislikes being called a little girl. She likes to think of herself as a socialite. She is very intellectual. She is very fond of fine arts, but despises modern art. Eponine likes being told that she is a lady. She is usually seen drinking Earl Gray tea at the table. She usually spends her time with Cosette, a doll she likes to think of as her little sister, though there are no real family ties. Though Eponine has a pretentious nature, she does care about Cosette, despite the many times she has facepalmed at Cosette's non-sequitors.
Eponine is usually seen with wavy brown hair. She usually dresses in casual gothic lolita outfits to conteporary day dresses. She recently has had an affinity for Christian Dior's New Look.
Unfortunately, a former colleague liked to portray Eponine as a vindictive sneak. I was never fond of this treatment. Eponine has no ill will towards human society, however, Eponine has zero tolerance for anything philistine or for anything lacking cultural significance.
In the "New Adventures of Cosette & Eponine," Eponine is voiced by Victoria Erica.
