This was the first sewing project that I am very proud of. I bought all the fabric and supplies from Fabric Outlet in the Mission District of San Francisco. I also used an American Girl sized pattern for the project. I adjusted the size accordingly. This was also my first attempt working with an actual sewing machine. I ended up using my roommate's machine to get a feel for what it is like to sew fabric together by machine.
When I brought my doll to SiliCon, my friends were surprised that I was able to make the dress at all since I had very little sewing experience. One of my friends told me that my hem stitching is straighter than her's!
I still have my doll wear this outfit to this very day. This is a project that I do not mind doing again. If I were to do commissions, this is one that I would definately do!
The doll featured in these photos is Eponine (Kid Delf Nara).
