Otakon Vegas took place on January 15-January 17, 2016 at the Planet Hollywood on the Las Vegas strip. Now in its third year, attendance is at 2,401 warm bodies and a staff of locals and Baltimoreans of about 100. Guest this year were primarily from the American voice actor scene – Erica Mendez, Todd Haberkorn, Vic Mignogna, Jason Miller, Lex Lang, and Sandy Fox. For many attendees, this was the first con. American voice actors were very well received by the younger tween audience.

This is our first time covering Otakon Vegas. As a team, we have covered Otakon in Baltimore. We were curious to see how the Vegas version plays out. We were satisfied on how the Baltimore show was run, so we came in with high expectations under the Otakon brand. However, the results were a mixed bag.
