Long Beach Comic Con took place on September 17-18, 2016 in downtown Long Beach at the Long Beach Convention Center. This is the largest Long Beach Comic Con ever. Attendence is ever growing. This year, the show had a Firefly cast reunion that drew in lines into programming hall. Long Beach is much smaller than other Southern California pop culture events such as Comikaze, Wonder Con, and San Diego Comic Con. However, it does have celebrity traction. Other than Firefly cast members, they also had an animated GI Joe cast renion, Phil Lamarr, Tommy Walker, Nolan North, and many others. Long Beach Comic Con does bring a ton of comic artists and industry folks alike which make this con a great oppportunity for networking and learning about the business. The two day con is its largest since its humble beginnings in 2009, however, no con is ever perfect, especially when they are experiencing growing pains.
