Long Beach Comic and Horror Con took place on October 29-30, 2011 at the Long Beach Convention Center in downtown Long Beach. As the popularity of comic conventions increase, more and more towns in the USA are promoting comic book themed events. While Long Beach Comic Con is nothing like the overwhelming Comic Con International, one member of the press, Ben Hino (Agent Sakura 9) says, "This is what San Diego Comic Con used to be ten years ago." Long Beach Comic and Horror Con celebrates the art of comics in its form and fashion. This year, the show added a horror element to their programming. In fact, programming for the third Long Beach Comic Con has expanded into the night. Originally, a three day event, 2011 became a two day event, but with more offerings in the evening hours such as the zombie walk and masquerade ball. Scarlet Rhapsody has been following the convention by the shoreline since the start. Please enjoy our report and review of Long Beach Comic and Horror Con.
