Katsucon 2014 took place on February 14 - 16, 2014 at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention center in Oxon Hill, MD. Katsucon was celebrating their 20 year anniversary. Guests of honor include Yaya Han, Symphonic Anime Orchestra, Richard Epcar, Greg Ayres, among others. This was a rather interesting year for Katsucon. While no one can really predict that a snowstorm would hit right before the convention, the Pax winter storm did quite of bit of travel damage throughout the eastern seaboard, but people still made it to one of the east coast's major anime cons.

This is our second time covering Katsucon for Scarlet Rhapsody. We hosted five panels during the weekend - I Can't Believe it's Anime!, Old Anime for New Fans, Moon Prisim Poptarts, Pretty Cure 101, and Horror Anime. The team consisted of Scarlet, Harmony, and Jared.
